Good bike, but a little bit weak on power performance. It accelerates and runs well on flat surfaces, but as soon as you get beyond a 5% grade the motor cannot provide enough power to keep 18mph, even with pedal assist and in low or medium gearing. It's made well and is weight is acceptable. Ride quality is very good. Steering/handling is not great because of the small tires. Tires have great traction and are fat but they create a "jerky" handling feel. Overall, good bike. If you want real performance and great handling get a bike with 17, 19, 21, or 25 inch tires and 2x the power.

Solid eBike! I went with the RetroVolt Pro and have not been disappointed. Bike arrived within 2 days and took me about 20-30 min to put together. Then I charged up the battery and took it for a spin. Wow! This bike flies! The battery life is very good, I've been riding all around the neighborhood for a week and a half and still am going off that initial charge. Bike easily gets up to 35mph, and will exceed that on hills, when set to the highest speed. The display in the middle is nice and contains useful info like current speed setting, speed and battery life. Once you set the speed, you throttle on the right side just like a motorcycle. I cycled the shimano gears to confirm everything was good, and I will admit haven't used the pedals since other than to place my feet. I wouldn't mind …

Bike went together easily enough, all but one of the bolts were tight enough. 4 stars because the torque arms are so weak and poorly fit that they will absolutely fail and destroy your hub by ripping apart all the wires. Definitely replace the torque arms with Grin v5 or other torque arms because the factory ones will fail. It’s easy to do, took maybe 15 minutes to replace them with the Grin Torque arms. We’ll see how the bike holds up long term, I’ll update if anything goes bad.Update: got 50 miles on it of fairly rough commuting and it’s been awesome. I added a phone mount, mirror, brighter clamp on headlight, a handlebar bag, fork bag (fanny pack), a milk crate, and a surf rack. I've had this bike for about two weeks now, and as my very first e-bike, I am seriously impressed. It gets right up to speed and gets you exactly where you need to go. I did notice the battery gauge drops a bit when you're pushing it at full speed and then goes right back up afterward—not totally sure what's going on there, but the bike is incredibly reliable so I trust it completely. Ok... So with 600+ miles each on these wonderful bikes and I have to say that these are amazing 1st E-Bikes for our introduction into this newer tech for our GenX BMX upbringing.I am 275+ lbs and this bike will make it up almost any hill, with pedaling, I've taken it on. My wife pulls our two dogs with a folding pet cart and we have taken these things all over the U.S. full-time RVing.I have yet to run the battery down all the way and we've gone on some really long rides. On flat pavement these will get my heavy butt up to 28-30 mph. The shock system is real nice if you get on rough terrain. I've also added a Ham Radio rucksack full of gear on the rear rack with no noticeable difference in performance and battery life.I've had to change the rear inner tube on my bike, which was easier …

It arrived very well packed, without any damage. I found it easy to put together, even though I have no experience. I did go to a hardware store to buy longer bolts to secure the back rack. I've had the bike for almost 2 months and it, the tires and the battery are in perfect condition. I ride it daily because I don't have a car. A full battery has taken me on many 18 mile round trips with more than a fifth of the battery life left, and that's with using just the throttle. The headlight is bright. I've also been able to test it's water resistance, as I was caught in a torrential rainstorm (I live in Florida). I don't advise going through deep puddles since the motor hub is on the back tire axle. I also don't advise leaving the battery in the bike if it's going to be in direct sunlight. …
