Great replacement for the TP4056 boards if you need type C "Dumb" charging since older USB cables are getting harder to find.THIS WILL NOT WORK OUT OF THE BOX WITH PD (Power Delivery) TYPE C CHARGERS!This will only work for 5v (DUMB) Type C chargers without modifying.Kind of sad since that's a simple resistor to report to newer chargers that it only wants 5v Input from the chargers' port.If you're using an old USB A to C cable you will be fine.

Working great powering the LEDs and charging the battery for my 3d printed portal gun.Just be aware for others looking at using this for 3d printing: it gets HOT while charging the battery... hot enough to be hard to hold on your hand and resoften the plastic. You'll want some kind of spacer (I dremeled off a section of heat sink from an old pci card) to keep it away from direct contact. It's also hot enough to resoften normal hot glue, so it you want to use that to strengthen your solder connections make sure you have the special high-temp variety for electronics.I'd like to give it 5 stars, it's working so well, but I just can't be cause of the heat. But it also deserves better than the 4 I had to settle for.

A 2400mAh battery took several hours to charge; not 1 as indicated. Out of three boards I've tried thus far, one kept shutting off after a minute or so. The specs indicate a 5W output, so at 4.2v that's just over 1A yet I cannot pull more than 150mA out of the board when I require 400mA. The battery life seems to be decent but that may also be because of the inadequate current output.

Great little board to replace the more common TP4056 (blue) modules. I'm new to repurposing li-ion batteries form old electronics/power tool batteries and i started using the more generic version of TP4056 modules to changer them and make things rechargeable, but this one is my so much better. There is reverse polarity protection when connecting the battery, you can change output voltage to whatever your application needs and don't have to worry about adding other components or modules to get what you want. Some have mentioned that they couldn't charge while discharging or vice versa but the 3 modules i have wired up so far didn't have any problems like that. There also seems to be some level of over discharge protection as the output voltage dropped drastically when the input voltage was

These boards are the perfect size for a compact rechargeable battery pack I’m building. They appear to be well made, I tested all of them before use and they function as intended. They charged the 3.7v LiPo cells and do boost the voltage. I was able to adjust from 5 to 25 volts consistently. A bonus (for me anyway) is they came still attached to each other so I got the mini endorphin rush of snapping them apart. There is a little bit of extra material on each board end that can be snapped off, however it worked out better for me to leave it in place to take up a tiny bit of space.

I use them to charge lipoly batts and have had no issues. Charging via usb works well. It also has pads for input current and I connect this to a step down module that supplies 5v from a solar array I built and it charges flawlessly even when input current is low (voltage fixed at 5v obviously). This module just works, no weird quirks or procedures to get desired result. All the modules in the bag were assembled well and work properly.
