Had some issues when it arrive. Battery would not stay in place. The customer service was and fast. Had a new lock in a couple days. Works great. Looking to purchase another soon.

WiFi connection won't connect. This is actually my second ultraloq, and the first one has worked great for years, very happy. The major difference is that the first came with a wifi bridge that works fantastic. I run home assistant so I though it would be great to add in automation via the matter bridge each night to ensure that things get locked up automatically. Unfortunately the onboard Wi-Fi is a huge step backwards. It will not connect. Period.Thankfully I can still put pin codes and finger prints on and that works fine. There are warnings and how to about only using 2.4ghz wifi, sure no problem, still doesn't work. My in-laws live in the same condo complex as we do. Between the two of us, we end up calling for an ambulance about once every year or so (yeah, long story, but off-topic.) When EMTs encounter a locked door, they will very politely ask, "Do you give us permission to forcibly enter?" Given a choice between possibly dying or having a damaged door, the correct answer is, "Go ahead," whereupon they will very politely force open your door.You are now blessed with two problems: firstly, whichever ailment, affliction, or mishap requiring you to call 911 in the first place, and now a door that can't be locked while you and your family are in the Emergency Room.For this scenario alone we opted for a smart lock. UPDATE #2: I continue to be simply blown away by the Customer Service of this company. After a recent update, our lock has started to misbehave a little bit. It started locking and unlocking itself, until I would remove the batteries and reinstall. After the second time it did this, I reached out to the company and they have been incredibly responsive! I can honestly say that I have never had such good customer service from any company I’ve ever bought anything from. Seriously!! Our lock is a couple of years old so I do wonder if it’s time to replace it but the company is doing troubleshooting with me to see if we can resolve it without going that route. I start this review talking about August Smart Lock, but it is about ULTRALOQ U-Bolt Pro WiFi, so keep reading.I’ve had an August Smart Lock 3rd gen for about 4 or so years and it had pretty much worked flawlessly all this time until about 2-3 weeks ago when it started doing something weird where it would sort of ‘over turn’ when opening and it’d sort of get stuck there. Then it would not close again until you’d manually get it unstuck.Problem is that it wouldn’t even notify you that the lock was unlocked as it was customary for my smart notifications setup to let me know if door was open or unlocked for more than 5 minutes.I struggled as to what to do because I really liked August, but I had my fill of these constant failures where you’d leave thinking you had locked the door and it …

So like some other people mentioned already its not perfect. But I think whatever negatives there are definitely out weigh the positives. So with that being said I will tell you how it is after 3 months of using it.I have a wife and a 18 year old son who also use the front door. I installed the door and had no issues with installation. I read about the bolts being too tight, so I checked the lock manually to verify its smooth as I went along, no issues. Once installation done I downloaded the app and started programming all of us into the app. I'm the tech guy in the house so I'm the administrator user. Adding everyone in is easy. Let's keep this really simple - just get this lock. Why you ask? Fine, fine, I guess I should explain the *why* behind getting this lock. But be warned, this is a long review...Truly, the U-Bolt Pro is everything a lock should be - literally. By biggest gripe with smart locks is that they usually have two features - some sort of key manual access and then some sort of technology. Maybe it's a key unlock and a smart phone app, or maybe it's a key unlock and a number pad, or maybe it's a key unlock and a finger print reader. But this lock, my friends, has *all* those things.First off, in case anyone has not said this, you CAN get this lock rekeyed to match your existing set of keys. I waited some time to write this review so I could give it time after installing and using. I installed this about 6 months ago now. My experience at this time is very positive and I would recommend.**Initial install**Installing was very straight forward; more or less your standard steps installing any door knob/lock with some subtle differences due to the wire. The directions were easy to follow.However I did note that the lock seemed tight to turn from the inside.
